Crossover Christian Music Festival Slashes Ticket Prices
at Central Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks
Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. –Fans of Christian contemporary and rock music will enjoy a drastically reduced ticket price—just $10 at the gate--at the 11th Annual Crossover Christian Music Festival, June 12-13 at Stoneridege Amphitheatre in Camdenton, Mo. at the Lake of the Ozarks.
“We recognize people are struggling in this economy so we wanted to make the Crossover Festival affordable for all,” says Alan Sullivan, festival manager. “We felt cutting the price by 70 percent, from last year’s $30 to $10 this year, would make the festival affordable to everyone, and still enable us to meet our budget.” There will be no advance or group ticket sales; parking will be $5.
One of mid-America’s largest Christian music events, each day the Crossover festival will offer seven hours of ministry, worship and live music. Sullivan expects 5,000 people to attend each day of the event.
On Friday, the gate will open at 4 p.m. and the music will start at 4:30 p.m.; on Saturday, the gate will open at 2 p.m. and the music will start at 3 p.m.
Friday’s lineup will include findingBethel, Justin Unger, Christian rapper KJ52, speaker Tim DeTellis, comedian Mike Williams and headliner Matthew West. Saturday’s entertainment will feature Danny Liston, This Beautiful Republic, Decemberadio, deTellis, comedian Cleto Rodriguez and headliner Big Daddy Weave. “They have performed at Crossover before and we are very privileged to have them back,” Sullivan says.
Other performers will include Press Play, Mission 5:16, Shonlock, Lake-area favorites Highland Fall and Caleb Rowden from Columbia, Mo. “Many of the performers have songs on the radio now and they’re becoming very well known,” Sullivan notes. “It’s so exciting to have several artists perform here who may be right on the verge of a major breakthrough.”
After each concert, fans can stop by the vendor pavilion to meet their favorite performers, get autographs and purchase CDs and merchandise. Booths offering Christian-themed apparel, CDs, jewelry, gift items, Bibles, books and handcrafted keepsakes will be open throughout the festival. Food and beverage concessions also will be available.
Sponsors include Spirit FM 91.7 and The Lake Today newspaper. For information about sponsorships please email marketing@crossovermusicfestival.com. In addition, volunteers still are needed; call (573) 374-0799 for more information.
“In these tough economic times we feel it’s important to reach out and welcome as many people as we can to Crossover,” says Deborah Wolfe, marketing coordinator. ”The music is incredible and that alone lifts the spirit, but we’re looking at it even more this year as a ministry event.” Adds Sullivan, “Although Crossover is a spiritual event that brings together people of all denominations, it’s also been a valuable opportunity for people to come to the Lake of the Ozarks and enjoy everything the Lake area has to offer.”
